Born in Hsinchu, Taiwan, Michelle was naturalised as a Canadian citizen at 9. Her artistic aspiration began as a child, when she attended art lessons with her cousin. In middle school, she received training in conventional painting techniques, which proved invaluable when she enrolled in the University of Victoria as a theatre design student. There, she explored visual concepts, creating projects with different themes and techniques. She experimented with digital art, found material, and fabric painting.
Apart from visual projects, she enjoys writing stories. She often takes inspiration from real life experiences and observations, but abstracts them into fictional worlds.
Story-telling, both through words and through visual representation, is her ultimate passion. She wishes to continue creating work to share with others, thereby freeing the various universes that exist in her head.
